If it's a weapon, you'll head to the weapons tab, if it's an item, you'll go to the items tab for shields, health packs, etc. The tabs will look like this:įrom there, you can select the exact type of weapon that you'd like. This is where the best weapons and items are.
You'll need to navigate to The BMR's Hall of fame. *Notice, only Weapons and Items are used in this portion of the tutorial. From here, you can chose what you're editing based on these tabs: *Note* set your skill points! Those can be spent when you log in on new skills you haven't/hadn't unlocked! Check the picture below for what I've edited to as a good idea. Banks can only be accessed from the coliseum DLC, but are very useful. Maximum inventory and bank space is 2,147,000,000. The options are obvious, but almost everything here gives you an advantage when changed. You can edit anything that you see here and completely change your character in-game. Ammo Pools - These aren't useful to change, except for the SDU upgrade level. Messing around with these are sketchy and can disrupt your storyline. This is only useful to change the description of the quests to shock your friends, or reset/finish quests depending on where you are in the game. From here, you can edit your progress/completion of quests. From there, you can come back and change the level. If you'd like to change your individual character abilities, they go from 1-5, but you must have spent one skill point there in-game before they'll show up here. There isn't a table online that I'm aware of, so just play around with the numbers until you find the level you want, unless you'd like to max your proficiency out. Use the arrow keys below to adjust your levels. In the basic tutorial, you will not add, import, or export the skills. From there, you'll see all of the proficiencies that your character has unlocked and equipped. Skills - You'll need to click on the skills tab. *Notice, only General Info, Ammo Pools, Skills and Quests are used in this portion of the tutorial. Step 3b will consist of the addition of weapons, items, etc. This is from WillowTree itself, and is things like quests, level, skills, etc. Step 3a will be the editing of what's already in the game. Visit the BMR (Borderlands Modding Resource) where you will chose your changes.įor the next two steps, I'll split into step 3a and 3b. Click the WT button on the top left of the program and select "Open" where you'll navigate to the following location for your. If you're nervous about corrupting/losing/spoiling your game file, you can double save it in another location, and/or "Save As.". #Willowtree modding Offline#
You'll need a GameSpy account to log online to borderlands, but offline works fine. Make sure that you have Borderlands ready to play. There are other ways to do this, but these are the best in my personal opinion. Creating your own weapons is advanced, and requires extreme knowledge of the game and modding software.
